Description:  It appears that Union Pacific SD40-2's are being resurrected,reconstructed,and given new life. These old workhorses from the 1970's and 1980's are having their motors rebuilt along with being repainted and renumbered.

Speculation has it that the loads of pipe are for the Central Utah Project going to build a pipeline from the Strawberry Valley to Salt Lake City through the mountains above Provo, While chnstruction workers build UTA's ''Front Runner'' Platform.
